After stewing & fretting for you over your rhabdovirus experience, during a conversation with one of the DVMs I work with, she became extremely concerned and interested. She and I have begun an exhaustive research team including an extended e-mail questionnaire to each herper in our clientele for any information on imports and URI or other symptoms associated with sudden or unexpected deaths.

I hope to update you soon with the information we have gathered. Rest assured that we will soldier on as you have been until we have satisfactory answers.

I appreciate it Tami. Nothing yet from the lab -- called my vet today and he has nothing new to give me. But there has been something new in my collection that I have no idea if it is related or not -- but I'm going to go post about it.

Hi Jen,
I'm sorry to hear what happened to your snake...my jaw dropped to the floor in disbelief. I have the book Reptile Medicine and Surgery by Dr. Mader. I'm trying to find any information as to why this happened. I think that you should contact Dr. Mader somehow and see if maybe you can e-mail him those pictures. Maybe he can help you out.
