Colors

Howitser Dec 21, 2007 09:34 PM

Quick question about color. My male ambilobe is mostly blue/green during the day, but when he settles down to sleep he displays much lighter, yellows, red & orange coming out really nicely. Will his daytime coloration become like that, or he darker due to normal stresses of living in a cage? He is alone, and his cage is in a separate room from everyone else, so there's not much traffic going in there.

Thanks!

Howie

I'll be curious what others have to say in response to your post.

Most of my panthers have paler looking colours when sleeping. Usually the same colours as during the day, just less saturated. No idea why. I think they have the most intensity of colour when they are happy (like when they get their favourite food, or when the boys see a girl). Dark vertical stripes tend to signal stress or some other unhappiness.
