winter in Minneeesooodaaah!

Jeff Hardwick Dec 22, 2007 11:48 AM

Here's what happens when you live near Canada. This is the beach at Grand Marais on the Superior shore way up yonder. That's downtown Grand Marais BTW....great place to explore in the summer (no herps grr..).

Believe it or not, it's always grillin season. Shovel a path to the grill and fire it up year 'round.
The waterfall is in park along the Superior shore.
Seasons Greetings to all!!

Not quite as far north, but the grill may still get some use up here in Massachusetts too.

Unfortunately the island in the background is not home to any "monster milks".

I would think there'd be plenty of "MONSTER ISLAND" Easterns in there. I think if you did some "flippin' in there, you could find a few nestled by their little fireplaces!.....look for the little plumes of smoke!..LOL

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Wow Jeff, those are some great pictures! I really don't know how you northerners do it...I get frost bite and fall into a coma if it drops below 70 degrees...LOL. It's been in the high 70's and 80's over the past week down here in Texas. Kind of wish it would cool down a little though, being Christmas and all.
Love the grill shot!

Yeah, I remember all of that snow and ice crap from my days in Michigan. Sure is nice living in N. Carolina -- supposed to be near 70 tomorrow. But don't feel bad, eventually global warming will catch up and it'll be nice and toasty up there

just kidding...it is pretty up there when it snows.

Ask me in February if I still enjoy seeing the winter landscape!
Nice pics of Mass BTW, there's something especially sad and lonely looking about grills covered with a foot of snow and an utterly blank white landscape behind it. Kinda poetic.

Hope that Cole or Dell post some pics of the Rockies!!!

Enjoy the Holidays everyone......
Jeff

Hey Jeff,
It's a blustery 54 degrees here in Va. Bch., Va. today.
All this talk of Bar-B-Q is making me hungry

Don't worry though, if you get cold, we've got the fire goin'.

LOL!!!
I hope everybody has a safe and happy holiday! Especially our troops overseas, and their families.
-Phil
P.s. Both of these photo's were actually taken today!

Ahhh, yes.... gotta love this weather. I just moved from MN a couple years ago, but we get no less snow here in Wisconsin!

Glad to hear you are still using the grill like a true northerner!!

...at least you don't have to worry about getting your snakes cool enough over winter! That's one thing I miss about the North!
