its not eating.

well i got my iguana friday and it is the first one i have had and im having trouble getting it to eat. it hasnt eaten anything since iv had it, and i know some of the reason is probably from changing enviroments and stuff but im kinda scared cause i dont want it to starve to death. i went to greeniguanasociety and wrote down all the staple foods and i have been trying to feed it to him one at a time and then mixing some together to try and let it choose what it wants but still nothing.so if anyone has any tips on how to get it to eat i would really appreciate it, thanks.

Just give him some quiet time and let him get adjusted.
Iguanas can go for a very long time without eating. Just
be patient and provide a good diet each day. I wouldn't
handle him at all for at least a couple of weeks.

Good for you for doing your research on food requirements.
As an owner of 2 iguanas, research is imperative!

Good luck and post some pictures.

Just give it time. Leave the greens and vegetables in there and it will eat. It took mine around 4 days, but after that as soon as I put the food in there it goes right for it. Your iguana will eat. Good luck!
