If I did not know better than that it is a Butter I would have said yellow Amel. I guess only time will tell if Rich accidently shipped you an Amel. Could she be a Butter outcross?

What about Creamsicles? I have seen very nice Creamsicle specimens. Although, they aren't pure corn, they do rank up there with the butters, in my eyes at least. BUT.... if i had to choose, I think a very clean and xanthic Butter would most appeal to me!
With high yellow amels, you really have no guarantee that you can reproduce them. They are selectively bred. where as butters are double recessive.
Did I understand correctly when I read that amels het caramel have a butterish appearance? I did not realize that caramel hets phenotypically appeared that way.

That is what I love about creamsicles....The yellow.
I know I have flooded the forum with pictures of my female cream, Arwen but what the heck..here is one more.
I don't think I've shown this one.

and here is one of my amel, Yoda.
She seems to be getting more yellow with every shed.

Well, I e-mailed Rich just to double check the genetic background on that particular snake. I hope its a butter since I had plans to stud him out to my best friend for one of his projects next year. I am sure it's a butter BUT ya never know...and its still a beautiful snake anyway. Page 107 in Love's book has a butter corn that somewhat resembles both my pic and the other person's yellow amel. I have never heard of/seen an amel with that much yellow...its CRAZZZYYY....so much variation in the corn world!
