hi
there are lots of good sites for dart frogs, but i learned most of what i know now by just hanging around on the forum. it is deffinitly an indespensible tool and you will learn alot. just don't be afraid to ask questions and don't get discouraged when some one answer a question a little roughly, they may have good advice.
good luck and have fun!

I applaud you for wanting to do research first, but please realize that there are whole books devoted to what youre asking. As is this whole forum. Please do the required reading first, then ask questions. This WHOLE forum is devoted to those questions.

www.doylesdartden.com is great and saurian.net has some good care sheets. I would recommend you start with leucomelas(i did)they are bold, colorful, and have a great birdlike call. They usually cost about $45 a piece but some auratus, which is also a great frog, is aout $20. I have 3 leucomelas in a 20 gallon high.

Hey Frogman. Please do ask any questions you might have, this is the place to do it! But, please do the research before hand. Most if not all newbie questions have been addressed here already. Also, the sites recommended are excellent. Just please read thru all the sites and this forum first, then purhcase some books. We definitely try to help others with our experiences, but answering the same questions over and over can get tiresome, especially when the question has been answered just a few threads down.

The only down side with the books (which i know of) are old and out dated. Sure they give the basic and somethings you did not know, but most of it can be found on nive dart websites. I sent a message to the mods about having a perminant thread didecated for the intro to darts, im waiting to see if they reply with a answer or suggestion to my suggestion.

Good call. An easily accessible, and prominently positioned, FAQ could help avert a lot of redundancy.
