Update..

Shadow4108 Dec 23, 2007 10:41 PM

As some of you might remember me posting about my girl Nacho. She was having a problem with her eyes.. I have been having to hand feed her since May. I thought this past month I would have to have her put down. I am very pleased to report that she has made a full recovery. (although I think she is blind in one eye now) She has been "back on her feet for a couple weeks now, and has way more than doubled in weight, and her tail is plumping up again.. She eats like crazy. Her hunting skills are a little lacking to say the least. (I think crickets may have been laughing) But she pulled through. I think the ensure helped tremedously,(SP?) and I have no doubt she would not be alive without use of it. Thanks so much for everyone's help and encouragement. Here's an updated pic for everyone.. it was taken 2 weeks ago today.. and she is even fatter now.

Glad the Ensure worked. Nice coloration on her, if she's gaining weight as fast as you said, you've done a great job. I wouldn't lose hope completely on that eye yet, you never know. But animals adapt well and she's definitely on the road to recovery. Great job, you really took the time to save her and that says a lot too. Thanks for the pictures, helps make all our posting work feel worth it when someone comes back successful.

Take care, feel free to update us more!

PS I love the name Nacho.

Thanks, my kids came up with it, based on the fact that she is "not-cho" ordinary gecko, we were expecting the regular color and pattern, and Nacho turned out to be a Nacholina..LOL.

Very cool! Great work, I know it takes tons of patience to nurse a sick one back to health. She looks great. It might look like she has a slight abcess under the one eye...course this may be just the way the pic is, I thought I'd mention it since it may explain why she is not seeing so well out of one eye.

Hehe, that name still brings a smile to my face. And I get to dance around because I said Ensure and someone actually listened to me and we saved a cute little girl. Yippie! Great holiday present.

As for morph, Albino for sure, here is where the problem is. She looks a lot like my girl, sold to me as a Bell, but here there is some back and forth between the differences between a Bell and a Tremper albino that I don't fully understand after, I think, having one of each in my gecko keeping time.

So the best I can do is Bell or Tremper Albino.

Looks tremper, once again eye shots would help.
