when introducing two geckos into one cage, how do yall go about it?
I've allowed my new male get acclimated to his cage and would like to allow my female to go into there permanently but I'm not sure what steps i need to take to make sure it goes smoothly.
So far i've placed her in there with him, made their presences acknowledged, and left them to their own thing (I never left arms reach, just incase aggression came up) for maybe 15 minutes the past few days.
If aggression does arise i still have a preped cage ready for her to go to. It's winter here and I've got the temps set to reflect that so I don't think I need to worry about breeding yet but to my knowledge ive researched it plenty and can always come here to for some trouble shooting (but not medical advice, vets first there).
These are both adults, she is ~40 grams (weighed her last week), he is well, slightly bigger than her, havent weighed him.
So back to the question, Is there a procedure to follow when introducing a gecko to a cage with another gecko? and Is there any other useful information you would see fit to give me based on whats been told?
