A Christmas Gift

Sighthunter Dec 24, 2007 01:04 PM

At our house it is customary to open one present on Christmas eve! I opened this one. This is a huge female and laid 11 huge eggs. To my knowledge the Giant Bird Eater is the only snake that lays eggs with tails! Take a close look all the eggs have tails!

I find it ironic that the greatest gifts come from God himself.

Merry Christmas all……………………………..Bill

Congratulations on your early gift! You are right, God gives the best presents.

Those "tails" are the strangest thing I've seen in a while. Best of luck with them, I hope they turn into some beautiful babies.

Merry Christmas!

Woohoo! Congratulations, Bill.
The "tails" are rather unusual, but the eggs look good. I expected her to lay more for her size, but that's still a good size clutch.
And what a beautiful snake too.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Congrats Bill! Those tails are sure strange looking - like the sprouts on a germinating seed. Again, congrats and of course, keep us updated on their progress.
