Ok so when i finally put the male in with the female last night she freaked out running covering her head with half her body real tight goin to the top rubbing her nose anything to get away from the male i thought it was odd so i just took him out is this normal?

I have a 8' coastal that used to mate every year with my 8' female coastal (died this summer) that runs from a confirmed 6' female. Maybe he still misses her
