Substrate ??

What's is best to use for the corn snakes, aspen or the reptile bark ?

I dont know which is best but I use aspen which was recommended in Dons book.

if he can't do it, nobody can.
All joking aside, aspen is one of the best, if not the best substrates you can use. Don recommends it in his book, so it's hard to go wrong there. I would avoid bark. I believe tree bark contains most of the toxins in a tree, as opposed to the wood pulp. I think that's also mentioned in Don't book as well.

Yes Jimmy, that's my female coral snow that I received from Don. That's an old pic of her, so I'm going to get some updated ones when I get a chance.

bark can cause problems like URI and shedding issues. Aspen is better

I use shredded junk mail, but aspen is #2.
Reptile bark is for humidity loving species, not for corns.
