I use calcium supplement for human and crush it myself. That's what my vet recommended.
Miner-all is a little bit different than regular calcium supplements in that is actually a broad spectrum (for lack of a better description) mineral supplement that happens to contain calcium along with the several other minerals it contains. Most other calcium supplements have only calcium and usually vitamin d-3 as well if they are intended for indoor reptiles. Rep-cal is a really good calcium supplement that you should be able to find at pet-co or at any other half-way decent pet store. I used it for years and if I stopped using miner-all that is what I would go back to. In fact my preference for miner-all has nothing to do with it being a supposedly superior product, it has more to do with the fact that it tends to stick better to feeder insects due to it being finer than rep-cal.
Use it while its still needed, some day (soon hopefuly) no keepers will need this stuff.
thru the years I whent from pro calcium to no calcium, in fact I dont dont belive lizards need it as much as they need better environomental options, not even for the most demending lizards species.
food type and proper husbandry makes any type of suplements obsoleat.
dont get me wrong, when you push growth on them thru advance husbandry methods, then suplements are a must, but in more (normal) conditions lizards take more time to digest food and therfor squize all nutrients from it (provided they are fed the right foods)
thanks for reading!
just wanted to say hello for the Holy days!!

a slower growth is less demending when it comes to calcium and other nutrients to a lizards body. thats why I say in many cases calcium is needles.

How is that peachie doing? What is the locality of that animal? Is mine a sorong? Thanks. Tyler.

yea, I'm more of a gutload and keep my crickets in good shape than overdue it with supplments. I definitely use them sparingly but with an entirely insect diet i wanted just to add something here and there. My camera broke I'll have pics of the guys soon.
Zoo med just came out with a new calcium product. I was given a few 8oz containers to try before it hit the market. They are all doing great. I also have a group of bd on it. I use mineral on every other incect eater. Well see what happen in about 8 moths when they start to drop. Thanks Ian
