How common are scams like this?
Do they all stem from the classified ads on here, or somewhere else?
Do they come from an unresolved IP? Has anyone tracked them?

You normally can tell what the scam emails are. I believe that kingsnake has a spot on the website where you can report that. I'm not sure where exactlly though.

They send you a money order or check and ask you to send part of it back for shipping costs or customs or some other thing. When the check/money order turns out to be bad you owe the bank money for it and you are out whatever you sent back to the person.
