Russians Again

If I were to buy a pair of fresh wild caughts which I hate to do because of the stress on them would they breed Next year because my first pair right now are from my retarded cousin who buys and sells them.

There is no guarantee that they will breed in te upcoming year. I have had my 2 females and 1 male russian tortoise for over 3 years and they have not yet produced offspring. I'm sure that the environment in which you keep the russian tortoises plays a role in their breeding as well.

It you have a more natural setup with lots of room for them to move about, provide areas where they can dig, etc. then they will be more prone to breed.
