Looks like maybe telescopus semiannulatus....eastern tiger snake. Definitely not one of the world's deadliest by any stretch.

Agree with the indentification...odd that this snake would be used to illustrate "The Ten Deadlist". I should think Animal Planet and Steve Irwin's people are better than that. Erodes credibility...

Sorry, that was my best latinized Greek approximation of "Rubber Snake". I wasn't familiar with Telescopus, and after checking a few pictures, that's just what they look like...
