Way OT: Lemurs!

natsamjosh Dec 28, 2007 08:13 PM

Took a trip to the Duke Lemur Center today. Awesome facility, and seeing these incredible animals up close was exciting. Here are a few pics I took.

Thanks,
Ed

LOL, it's 1000 times more likely that Dave will give me one of his pearls than any of us getting a lemur.

Lemurs are some of my favorite animals ever, you're lucky to see them. I wish I could have an opportunity to take some pictures like those.

Tim,

They are pretty amazing, especially the way the move. Some species can jump up to 30 feet from a standstill! And the way they bounce from tree to tree is unique.

If you're ever in central North Carolina, be sure to book a tour of the place. I took home the paperwork needed to apply to be a volunteer tour guide, but I doubt I'll be able to free up the time necessary for it.

Thanks,
Ed
