Took a trip to the Duke Lemur Center today. Awesome facility, and seeing these incredible animals up close was exciting. Here are a few pics I took.

--brazillian rainbow boas 1 female for sure
2 or 3? maybe a breeding pair?
more distant future hopefuls
1 or 2 of each maybe a breeding pair?
--anery boa (ooooh)
--jungle carpet python (love to have 1 or 2)
--dumeril boa (ahhhh)
slightly more wishful thinking
--hypo br rainbow boa (love em)
--anery br rainbow boa (oooh even better!!)
--motely boa (gorgeous!!)
LOL, it's 1000 times more likely that Dave will give me one of his pearls than any of us getting a lemur.

0.2 kids (CBB, a big part of our selective breeding program)
LOL, to many snakes to list, last count:
26.49 BRB
20.21 BCI
And those are only the breeders 
lots.lots.lots feeder mice and rats 


Lemurs are some of my favorite animals ever, you're lucky to see them. I wish I could have an opportunity to take some pictures like those.

They are pretty amazing, especially the way the move. Some species can jump up to 30 feet from a standstill! And the way they bounce from tree to tree is unique.
If you're ever in central North Carolina, be sure to book a tour of the place. I took home the paperwork needed to apply to be a volunteer tour guide, but I doubt I'll be able to free up the time necessary for it.
