spddd5 Dec 29, 2007 08:45 PM

I'm very new to this world. A couple days ago I went into buy my kids more fish, but the next day came home with my snow leopard gecko. I did research before I bought him to know what I was getting into. So, he is now my new baby. Anyway..I didn't think there was anything wrong with his tail...but, the more research I do...the more wierd it looks...so, can anyone tell me what's wrong with it?? I was going to ask the pet store I got him from..but, decided to look online for help from people that are very familiar with these little sweeties. Any help and advice would be aprreciated..thanks a bunch in advance!!! P.S he was crawling into my hand..so his back leg looks bad...it's the only pic that wasn't fuzzy!

Here he is...

Looks like a regenerated tail. Nothing bad, probably got bitten off when it was a youngster by another gecko. Alot of bigger breeders keep hatchlings together, if they fight or if one is hungry, they go for the wiggling tail of another.

That's what I was thinking...but, I wanted to get a more experienced opinion, and it being nothing I had to worry about. Thanks a great big bunch!!
