Another thermostat question.

Yes, I know this is a common question, I have read through the past 3 months of posts on this forum and still have some questions…. send me links if this had been discussed in great detail at a different location.

I am looking to upgrade my temperature control systems for both rack systems and stackable cages.
I am looking at Johnson Controls, RANCO, Spyder Electronics, and others.

I would love to hear what any of you have for experience with any higher wattage thermostats. I am interested in your thoughts on accuracy, reliability, and lifespan.

Links to other online thermostat resources would be greatly appreciated.
Does anyone know of an outlet that may have quantity pricing???

I am also looking for a better temperature “alarm system”…. Like one that will call me, e-mail me and/or text me if the temperatures get out of a set range or if the power goes off. (Even better would be where I can check the temps online or call to see what temperatures the different probes are at… which I think the Spyder Herpstat can do).

It will be my NEW YEARS gift to myself, and I want the most reliable product available.
Thanks for any input…

I have both rancos and helix and though some people have no problems out of their rancos I have had a couple get stuck on the E2 problem message. When they are showing this E2 error message they do not do anything and all of the heat is off. I have never had any problems out of my helix thermostats but I like all of the things that I hear about the Herpstat Pro. I do not have the Herpstat Pro but hopefully someone that does can tell you more about them or you can check out their website and get all of the info on it.
