My griseus bit me and I didnt die.

Ive always been verry careful with these guys. Any way I was checking under thier hide box as i always do since this time of year I cool them down. Anyway to make a long story shot I took a nasy bite to the thumb. With no ill effects aside from the blood at all. just thought id share that with you. Thanks Ian

Why are people concerned over griseus bites? Are they worse than other monitors? Tyler.

There have been studies done on venom protein in lizards they where found in everything from bearded dragons to iguanas and a ton of lizards in between. The thing is the levels they are found in are not enough to do anything. But it is said that griseus have the worst bites of them all with of corse the exception of the heloderma genus. Its been a long time sence Ive read that report so the details are a little sketchy. Thanks Ian oh and the fingure is still there.
