heat in wooden cages???

DMD87 Dec 30, 2007 10:38 AM

monday im goin to menrds to by the wood for my 4 new cages. im tryin to think of easier ways to heat it right now im using ceramic heat emiters but they wont be high enough wattage to heat the cages (the ones i have at least)and im havin a problem trying to figure out how to put them in a cage.they are 4 my snakes so.i was thinking about flexwat but im not sure how it works really or actually much about it .the cages are going to be made out of 3/4 in red oak plywoodand are going to two units 36x24x24 with a divider in each unit to make four cages.

so im trying to decide whether to use ceramic heat emmiters, radiant heat panels, and flexwatt thanks

my dad made me custom wood cages and they run on radiant heat panels. those panels were the best thing I ever did!

those were the best

I also used some from big apple herb but it took 2 of them to put out enough heat so I would suggest the pro products ones

I am attaching a picture page of my cages, this shows the ones from big apple which were the first I tried

I'd go with the heat panel myself.
