Baby update

JasonW Dec 31, 2007 10:47 AM

Just wanted to give everyone an update. I had to force feed 2 pinkie heads and last night just as kid of a shot in the dark, I had a little of Siberian Dwarf Hamsters "My new feeders" and put one in with the baby corn, This morning when I woke up I looked around the enclosure and just could not find that hamster anywhere. When I looked at the baby he had a big ol bulge in his belly, accordingly the only thing left to say is WOO HOO. I have yet to see a corn quite like this one and think in a few years and some selective breeding it could produce amazing offspring, Now this idea looks brighter since he finally took live prey on his own.

He also defecated yesterday and it looked fairly normal, as normal as fecal matter can I guess.

Congrats Jason. Glad you have made a step in the right direction. Just goes to show that some snakes are wired to eat a different kind of food and ya just gotta keep trying till you find the right one
I am still working with two non feeders.

Baby snakes find dwarf hamster babies irresistable. Esp. the small snakes that are intimidated by week old mouse babies or that don't like the mouse smell.
