Could this be something?

I bought a male proven breeder "C.B." Het. Burgandy. I talked with Ralph and he said his hets. are simple ressessive and have no visual way of telling one from a normal. As you all now I got Kevin Mcurleys book and in the part of the book where it has pictures of the things to look for in a "special" ball python. If you have the book PLEASE look on page 140 at the bottom. That is EXACTLY what mine looks like. He also has a very visible V on his head. He also has a nice dark tent to him. My camera cant catch the color and pattern. Just look on the book!

Thanks to any help!

The chicken crossed the road. What are you wanting to know? If the book says your snake should look like this and yours does, it is probably something. I also know of snakes that LOOK a certain way and they turn out to be nothing. You can NEVER, for sure, 100% guarantee a snake is special just by looks. It just lets you know it is HIGHLY LIKELY to be something special.

Ralph, are you refering to Ralph Davis? When buying a simple recessive HET from someone you need to be sure you can trust who you are buying from. Recessive hets look just like normals. Some may have a "little something different" about them but some normals may carry the same look. If you bought the snake from Ralphie then it is 100% het. If you bought it from someone you aren't sure you can trust it could be het or normal. You will have to breed it out to find out for sure. Could be a long process.
