I started the thread below about the differences in captive husbandtry of all the box turtles after talk of the difficulties of keeping ornates. I have three toeds here in the Houston area. I would like to expand my collection next year and pick up some hatchlings. Ornates natural range occurs in and around Houston, so I was wondering if I would have any problem with CBB ornates next year. I kind of get the feeling like most ornate troubles happened in the eastern states. Easterns don't come this far west, but would I have trouble with them in the Houston area? Thanks a lot.
