I figured it out!!!! Here is what it looks like- sorry for the crap quality, but I took it from my cell phone. You can see the bumps, and that's what's important. Again, they are about 1/4 of the way down his body starting from his head.

I gotta say if it were me the snake would have seen a vet by now. This could be a subcutaneous tapeworm, burrowed in ticks, infection or cysts or who knows what........none of which would you likely be dealing with at home.
