I re-freeze once, and after that I toss them. Some snakes won't eat the ones that have been re-frozen, though.

i've done it, no problem, just one re-freeze though, then ya gotta toss it. rarely ever had to toss a rat.

You can - but keep in mind once you defrost them they start to decompose - if you refreeze them they are more likely to bust a gut when your snake grabs them - especially mice - I'd recommend you just toss out the mice - otherwise yeah you can refreeze once.

One refreeze is okay. I've owned snakes in the past that actually preferred the twice thawed rats. Like Tosha said, though, they will do the funky belly split a whole lot easier the second time around. There is little you can do to prevent this, but a slow thaw is the best option you will have.
Thaw in the fridge (in a ziplock) overnight. Slow and even defrosting = less likelihood of belly split.
mice refrozen get really gross and their bellies are very thin and they rot fast. so toss. but rats can go in for a second round, but never a third - or you'll have the dreaded gut explosion.
