Well something happened that was........

strictly4fun Jan 01, 2008 11:36 PM

pretty cool. My male from the joint breeding between Mike and Dave shed and is looking very nice tonight. He is still more vibrant than the pic suggests though along with great crescent color. Dave you think it looks like Chris a little? and I haven't had any moss in any of my hides since I cleaned them either on the 26th so he might have a little left in him but then my camera sucks so it is lose lose situation

Well, no matter what he is a looker and that's for certain!!!

So hard to tell from pics and even more-so from two different cameras/lighting setups.

Here is your male again...

And here are Chrissy's latest pics....

What snake is on the bottom with the nice crescents? Chris is very nice and this is by far the best mine has ever looked and I didn't even know he was in shed either. Here is the other pic I kept, the color sucks but the crescent color is seen better but still washed out

and a pic from Mike's after shed

and when I first got him

and now

so hopefully Mike picked me out a great one and I got lucky too too early to tell but hopefully he gets real red or at least can make some red-orange ones for me. thanks for the response Dave and hope the New Year is starting off right for you

He's looking good Bob. Does your Hypo female get to visit him someday?

That is the plan as he will also get a turn with his sister from Dave whom I have yet to even start the checks due to my car problems but when it rains it pours so that is last year and this is this year but I'm just broke but happy My female hypo was born late but if I can get my het up to a healthy size she may go that year as well. Dave has her and hopefully he feeds her good for me and I will give him some extra money this go around or this upcoming year when I can get some normals and hopefully a hypo male and/or het female (did I just ramble)

Wow, he is beautiful. I may have to volunteer to clean his cage just so I can see him it person!

Thanks,
Ed

Hell I'll even cook for you or buy you dinner. Ed you should start saving up for Daytona '09 as Dave may have a table along with Jeff possibly and Mike may be there which would be cool (if you like Mike of course)

You cook? What's your specialty?

I'd love to meet you guys in person. Not sure if I'll be able to make the trip, though. Must be really expensive if I need to start saving up now for the 2009 show. I need to get some of you to come to the Raleigh, NC show. I don't think I saw even one RB last year! Way too many pet rocks... er, ball pythons, however.

Thanks,
Ed

I don't think it is really expensive but it is like the Mecca of snake shows though. The biggest snake show of the year is prolly the only show I will meet others at and that would be awesome but I just mentioned the '09 year cuz I think I can make it that year but not this upcoming year I have to get to many snakes that I can't afford No specialty at all, great breakfast food and the rest is average but the few things I make I make pretty good if I say so myself but definately not impressive

Wow Bob, he looks really great. Like I said, there were no bad looking animals out of that pairing but that one is really nice. I only held back one animal from that clutch. A female. He rivals her.

To tell you the truth Mike I wasn't that excited to get him cuz he didn't look like anything special when younger and you said that he has a good amount of red in him that you can't see in the pics so I took your word for it just like when I was skeptical about getting a hypo female and sure enough mine has pretty good color and great crescents. I saw him in person when I got him and that made me pretty content with my purchase. I took a couple of pics of him and couldn't get anything like the ones Dave picked out so I was like Dave must have gotten all the good ones cuz Chris and one of his males looks real good. Now that I have one like that I feel that I robbed Mike but your cool like that thanks again for a smooth transaction and I wouldn't hesitate to buy again from you Mike. If you got anything really cool that Dave passes on don't forget my e-maillol Hope you enjoyed the holiday break from work now back to it. And when you said you "would pick me something out special" so being first on the waiting list is always a good thing I suppose

Bob,
That snake is beautiful. Big time WOW factor going on there. Now if you'd only learn how to take a decent picture.....
Paul

strictly4fun Jan 02, 2008 08:45 PM

I don't think I will ever learn to take decent pics but I can take better ones though. I am taking donations for a new DSLR camera if you are feeling bad for me Paul thanks for the comments I guess

Bob,
My wife and I decided to treat ourselves to a new camera this year as my old 2.1 mega pixel clunker just does'nt cut it any more (actually makes everything look a little green).
I've got my eye on the Canon M30 but am hesitant to pull the trigger just yet (the lenses I want are lots more than the camera body itself). Hopefully my picture quality is going to go way up here in a little while.
Paul

strictly4fun Jan 02, 2008 09:33 PM

If I didn't like the name brand Nikon so much my next option would be Canon. I don't want to spend a fortune but would like about 8-10 megapixels and would like to get a macro lens down the road but money don't grow on trees and I still need to acquire a few more great ones but hopefully next year or definately by the time I start having my brb's making babies. Take care Paul
