first bite!

superdave1781 Jan 02, 2008 08:53 AM

well, yesterday I had my first "true" snake bite, ever! Me and my wife were cleaning cages and when I reached in and grabbed my columbian BCI, she/he reached back and grabbed me! lol I've been bit by garter snakes, and cornsnakes and black rat snakes, etc. in the past, but this was the first time being bit by a larger snake with a much bigger head! (he is about 6.5'long)
With how much blood there was, you'd thought I had cut off a finger at first. But it didn't hurt at all, not then, not later. It's amazing how a paper cut can hurt so bad, but something like that you don't even feel.

Thats was just a warning shot, wait till you get tagged good!
There will be bruising and plenty of pain.
The teeth may take several months to work their way out, some never do.

lol, I'd been waiting too for the first bite...I was worried it would be a bad one, but I guess I was lucky cause I didn't feel a thing. It was the exact opposite of a paper cut! It looked a lot worse than it was!

LOL Sounds more like a warning to me. Was it a quick tag? Or did it chomp down and twist, and really sink those teeth in? HA HA.

I've had both before. Probably a just couple more times than I'd care to admit. I promise, it'll hurt plenty if you really get bit.
