I think Argentines are gorgeous, some people think they are too dark with not enough color... but I think they are under-rated! I love them myself, have always wanted to get a pair... I would shop around and get them from a good breeder. Some are born with a lot of pink, usually the pink fades out a bit... but nicer offspring to become nicer adults.
Sidenote, if you've seen the post "Question about locality?" below a bit on this page of the forum, you'll see where I was trying to get a second opinion on a snake being sold as a PURE Argentine in the classifieds. If you are knowledgeable to the visual characteristics, you'd see that the animal is most likely a cross. Everyone agreed with my opinion. The seller probably doesn't even know it isn't pure and was sold the animal misinterpreted from somebody else. So, just make sure you are getting the real thing!
Good luck with whatever you choose, but if you aren't sure right off the bat that you want something different... you should think on it more. Chances are if you want an albino bad enough, you'll still be thinking on it after you pick up an Argentine. Then you'll end up like me! LOL! 36 now and still planning for more! Luckily, my boyfriend loves my hobby and is totally supportive. Breeding the rats gets old though, but I can't afford not to! I have a freezer full right now, so I get to cut back on breeders for a few months. YAY!
I'd like to know what you end up getting, post some pictures for those of us who've been following/contributing to your posts.

Argentines are great boas! They're very under rated at this point, and I don't understand why. That "argentine" on the classifieds that was questioned, I agree, cross all the way!

I would emphasize the importance of buying from a reputable source known for pure Argentines.

All too many are mixed lineage, by-products of Salmontine and Albino Argentine projects. Or just plain cross breeding for no purpose. Some of these LOOK pure.

If it is for a pet, and purity isn't an issue. Get the one you like. But pure is always preferred with boas like Argentines, in my opinion.
