Pueblan Aberrancies and "morphs".

ghaugen Jan 02, 2008 02:32 PM

Sorry I know this is totally newbie question but I was wondering if any of the aberrancies/morphs I see in Pueblans are genetic, "sockhead", "halloween", "oreo", etc. How about the coloration variations, apricot and hypo?

Thanks in Advance

Halloweens and oreos are not recessive. Breeding 2 oreos will not always give you oreos. They are basically random aberrancies.

Sockheads and apricots may or may not be, I'm not sure.

Hypo pueblans are recessive.

~~~~Well, The hypo trait is recessive. The apricot is a co-dominant trait(like tangerine is with Hondurans), in that if you breed a richly colored apricot to a normal, you will get mostly varying degrees of intermediate coloration. The other mutations you mentioned are much less predictable.
