my beardie shed while i was on vacation so i have two questions 1.he only grew about a half an inch(was 7" now about 7 1/2" is it ok to grow only 1/2 an inch 2.can he eat his sheddings or do they need to come out? it think i read somewhere they can eat their skin but idk

How long were you on vacation? If it was 1-2 weeks, 1/2" is okay.
No, beardies should not eat their own shed.
