Okay so researching into getting a crest for myself. And a good caresheet is hard to find. Some say mist...some say not, no one lists what substrate you should use, and are there any other helpful hints or helpful websites you can point me to?

We love questions that come before you have the gecko, that gives you reponsibility points.
I personally like this caresheet and refer most people to it. It is well prepared:

There is also the complete guide book, but I haven't found it as useful. (If you were getting a leo, I'd make you buy one because it is all you'll ever need. I'm not as impressed with the crested book.)
To quickly answer your questions: they are from temperate tropical zones, that means room temp, but higher humidity. You should mist, they prefer to drink that way as well. As for substrate, we live in a high mold area so we use paper towels, line the bottom and crumple a few so they can "dig" or play as they like. Others here without mold problems can chime in with their favorite substrate.
Please, ask as many questions as you like, we are here to help and want nothing better than for you to have all your questions answered BEFORE you've got the gecko in hand. Welcome and ask away

Question about the fungawunga (still laughing about that name) - how much moss are you putting in? thanks
hey,
mist at least once a day, preferably at dusk, but don't soak the heck outta your enclosure so it never dries out. sphagnum moss is great, it's natural , and highly resistant to many sorts of fungawunga.
good luck , ck
here's a naturalistic setup with a sphagnum moss substrate.
Haha, "fungawunga" I like that. Nice branch/ vine you've got there. Kiln dried driftwood? Perfect horizontal perch. I'm jealous, looks custom made.

sun-baked stick from the neighborhood.
you can likely find one just like it after a wind storm.
peace , ck
Wow, I am impressed then. No luck for me then, I live in the land and of the conifers and the home of the mold.
But when I head to FL in a few weeks, I'll add that to the souvenir list. One dried tree branch. Got it.
