I love ovulation

boaphile Jan 02, 2008 10:19 PM

As the flower loves the rain
I love ovulation
Like democrats love taxes
I love ovulation
Like our brave soldiers love our country
I love ovulation
Like electricity loves copper
I love ovulation
Like I love Mexican Food
I love ovulation

This HUGE Jim Peters Bloodline Pastel is ovulating something huge! She, at about 60 lbs.. is finally going to have her first litter in about four months if all goes well... That water bowl in the back ground is almost 10" across but it looks tiny with her bulk in front ov-u-late-a-ing like a cherry bomb stuffed inside a water mellon!

not my best work I know but something had to be said...

Jeff:

Happy New Year......

Only you could come up with such metaphores.

Good luck with that tiny female.

I too love ovulation.

My prior experience with Brazilian Rainbow boas is quite different, they are smaller and I rarely saw courting let alone copulations or ovulations. More of a put them together and babies will be here later - maybe.

With my boas, I've seen all the courting, seen a few copulations AND clearly seen two ovulations and a few others that I'm not sure of, pretty swollen but not as huge as the other two. SOOOOO cool!!!

Best of luck to you Jeff and BTW, Reeses is busy with a second female - a Coral Albino. He took a couple of weeks off to shed and is now back in the saddle! Hmmmmmm, Reeses in a coral sunglow project.....drooollllll!!!

Relating a boa ovulating to Mexican food... why does that make me think of that scene, (Indiana Jones is it?) where they cut open that snake and eat it's young???
I don't know how closely I'd relate my own Love of food, for my Love of boas ovulating, since I eat with serious passion ;p but I suppose it will have to do... coming from you of course!
I can't even imagine all the 'Love' you've got going on in your labs right now!
