What is she?????

EvoMorphs Jan 02, 2008 11:52 PM

I just acquired this leopard gecko from a guy that didn't have time for him any more. I thought I was going to go pick a your basic run of the mill normal leopard gecko but when I got there I new I was getting something very cool. I know nothing about leopard geckos and haven't own one in years. From looking around on KS I'm thinking that she is a hypo-tangerine or maybe a super hypo-tang. I don't know the difference. If you can see on her back she doesn't have any banding but has a faint big blotch. I say a she because I remember that the males had some kind of glands on the hind legs and she doesn't. Please help me out with this what do you think of her am I close.

thanks for your help

Males have vent holes in a V pattern on the equivalent of their butt, not the legs. That I can help with. As for what kind, don't look to me, half the time I disagree with what they are calling what these days. But I'll answer what I can.

Hypo tang w/carrot tail, no? (I've never been really clear on the difference between hypo and super-hypo, but if I'm not mistaken, it's one or the other.)

SHTCT
(super Hypo --> no spots)
(Hypo --> 10 spots or less)
Baldy (no spots in the head)
Carrot-Tailed means she/he must have 33% of her tail covered in orange.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for all the info
But thats the problem when looking in the classified section I can find super hypo tang. with spots all over their heads. Is the 10 spots or less just on their head or is it head and tail. I cant find any hypo tang. with out spots on their tails. But thanks I do know now that she has a carrot tail and Id say shes hypo tang.
