Brumation Question... Is it "normal" or at least okay for a dragon to sleep for several weeks, then wake up, eat, poop and go back to sleep? He hasn't lost weight and I wake him up to give him water from time to time.

Yup. Every dragon is different. I had 2 go down in August one woke and became active and eating in early November, the other is still sleeping, 5 months so far. Another is usually around but extremely lethargic and doesn't really eat. Others went down right after Thanksgiving. Some others are showing signs that they will start now. Who knows. The bottom line is as you said if their not losing weight then their fine to do as they wish.
Thanks. I figured it was okay; I just had to hear it

I just responded under my husband's name - EddieF without realizing it. Anyway, thanks for the input. I can stop worrying now.
The best diagnostic tool for any reptile is a weight scale. I have said many times everyone should have one. I've had dragons not eat anything for 5 or 6 months and they don't lose any appreciable weight if they're healthy. I weigh every dragon I have at least weekly and write it down so I can notice trends.
