When it rains....

PHRatz Jan 03, 2008 11:06 AM

Cookie had a very bad day yesterday but she's looking better again today.
Chip's acrylic popped off late yesterday after the vet was closed so he's off to the vet this afternoon.
It looks good under there, all that broken shell has grown back together but the problem is in one spot where it's still healing it's white, pink, & kind of raw looking so the vet's got to see it to make a decision about what if anything to do about it.
It think Cookie will go with us so the vet can take a look at her.

It's always something....

PHRatz,

I think Janie broke your computer emailing all our ornates and telling them about sitting in the cold rain getting sick and then getting to stay in all winter. They got to enjoy Christmas and the music. Mine haven't ate anything yet but if they don't and the noses clear up I may have to try the 50 degree box in the garage. Glad your back ---prayers to cookie and chip. Best peeps

That explains everything. I think you've hit on something here lol!!!
Chip's vet visit went wonderfully!!! All the plastron has grown back together even though it's an odd color. Vet is not going to do anything more to it, quote: "You're good to go" so Mr. Chip's severely broken plastron did not take 3 years to heal after all!! It's been 2 years and 3 months, that's great.
Soon as I get it totally figured out, I'll get his new pics posted along with Kibbles the baby.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for yours to clear up those noses & eat!
Prayers back at ya for your shellkids to get better soon!
