Kaitlin17 May 22, 2003 06:13 PM

I have heard much about that if your keeping live plants for WTF (snakeplants, etc) that a flouresent bulbs or plant growing bulbs, out of the cage of course will help bring in some light and bring out some color in both the frog and plant. How true is this ? and is it neccesary? Thanx Kaitlin17
P.s. if this doesnt work im trying that thing on tools and toys lol

it has been an ongoing debate whether frogs need Ultra violet rays to sythesis vitamin D3 and help calcium absorbtion. personally i do not think they need it, but if you do use UV flurescent lighting it will make the frogs colors brighton and become a more natural color. if you get a fluroscent plant bulb this will help your plants florish, although some hardier species of plants like pothos, ficus pumilo etc do not need special lighting. this is my WTF's frodo, i use UV fluroscents on my frogs.
