Does size really matter, baby?

I spent the past year and a half raising up a rather nice male JCP I aquired from Ben Team to breed with my prized female. While he showed some interest when other males (and/or their freshly shed skin) were around, he was not very excited about my girl....no matter how pretty she is. I saw them sharing cage space and intertwined, so I was hopeful, but I never witnessed confirmed copulations (although their positions indicated it may have happened once or twice). My female was thick with follicle development, but I didn't really see anything that made me sure she was ovulating.

Enter my 2006 Best Boids 50% Jungle Jag. Despite his small size and the fact that I was feeding him with hopes of breeding him NEXT year, he recently refused 2 meals and was cruising his enclosure anxiously.

Here's what has transpired over the past 18hrs.....I'm hopeful

For fertile eggs! This little guy really stepped up...I'm crossing my fingers and toes that his sperm is good...she looks great, so I'm optomistic
