Josh, I have never heard of sheet moss. But I have never used a nest box with Ball Pythons ether. Sorry Claude

Josh,
Last year I did use nest boxes. I used Peat Moss. I put it in the oven at 400 Degrees for 10-15 min. to kill any thing then I used distilled water.
I used large rubbermaid containers with lids cut a large U shape section out of the side then I filled it about 1/2 way with damp Moss. All of my females loved it. Everyone of them Laid in their nest boxes. I would periodically take the lid off the box and mist the females up until they laid. I would say they spent probably 75% of their time in the nest box. After they laid I would just remove the box from their enclosure.

yes you can but it costs alot of you buy it....
If you take it from the wild it ,,,well,,takes from the wild.

.....balls do not need any form of nest at all......

...I use sphagnum moss for colubrid nest boxes......it is just dead moss......not live sheets.....

I used to go get sheets from rocks and cut it up and use it.....

and I never cooked it , and I have well water.......

balls I just let lay on the paper or cypress or aspen...
