hey all im about to get my first pair of irian jaya carpet pythons. im really excited!!! the male im getting from ben seigal reptiles the female... well thats my prob i seen a absolutly beautiful female on the classifides but the problum is the person i want to get it from im hearing a lot of not so good things about him ive read on a couple of forums that people have been ripped of by this person if any body has any info about danille fields geckos let me know i cant seem to find a website so im guessing hes maybe a privite breeder im a little nervouse simply because ive never ordered an animal from the internet plus im hearing things so if any one has anything important good or bad i should know please respond.

I honestly don't think you would straight up get ripped off, you will get an Irian Jaya, but often times you get what you pay for.

I am not saying anything good or bad about who you are asking about, as I have never purchased from them.

But there are risks when buying over the internet, and when you are not able to visually inspect the specimen before purchasing it...as in a show.

There is always the possiblity of Mites, not getting the one you picked out (if there are multiple ones for sale), Or the big one is it being misssexed...

I would think if you are adiment about wanting a pair, the biggest concern is getting the wrong sex, it happens to the best of breeders from time to time, it just happens, when you have a bunch of snakes to sex, sometimes accuracy can go down, and the probe doesn't go as far as expected...hence the wrong sex.

I have purchased MANY reptiles off the internet, and of course the more you buy the more possiblity that you'll run into these kinds of problems. And Honestly...you really do get what you pay for, buying soley on Price...well that can be a good thing, saving money...but quality sometimes is not as good....hence the cheaper price.

There are MANY good Irian Jaya breeders on the net, I can provide you a list of breeders if you e-mail me. They specialize in breeding the nicest and brightest Irian Jayas.

No experience personally with them, but there's another site out there that is a much better place to look for customers experiences with that vendor- they have an entire section dedicated to just that.
