New Camera New Pics

joshuaamills Jan 04, 2008 07:21 PM

Got a new Nikon D40 for Christmas. Got the 18mm - 55mm lens than came with it and also the 55mm - 200mm VR lens which is awsome!!! Here are some new pictures. I had to crop and resize them quite a bit to be able to upload them to this site. They are amazing untouched but I still am very impressed with them after the shrinking to make small enough to upload here. Check them out. If any of you Camera guys out there have any tips or good sites to visit for information to get better with my new toy please let me know. Thanks Joshua

Looks like you got yourself I nice little camera!! You got some good looking pastels to! Congrats on the new Nikon. I love the Macro shots. Gives you alot more control of what you are trying to focus on. Does yours have the super macro with the manual focus? I have the Canon S5IS and I cant seem to find any nice lens for it. Well good luck with the pics. You should take a couple more and submit some for the photo contest for the month!!!!

They're all really nice, but I love that top close-up!

That was done with a 55-200mm VR (Vibration Reduction) Lens from about 6-7 feet away. Not a macro lens at all. I am still playing with it to perfect my technique but I would like to know how to enter the photo contest
