I have adopted a 5' long Borneo Short-tail about 5' long as a pet. I plan to put it in a Boaphile 4x2x17.5 cage. I haven't worked with this thick of a snake before (Columbian Boas the being largest.) Can you suggest something I could use for a hide that would accomodate its size? It's hard for me to picture just how big it will be in person!

I typically do not use hides for my adults, but to acclimate one you can use cement mixing tubs flipped over or even Rubbermaid/Sterilite tubs. Just cut a good sized hole into the side. Top loading hids don't seem to work as well in short cages.

Good luck.
