I am trying to enlist this community and hopefully educate others about this ......

I am not sure if I broke kingsnakes' rules as I have emotionally posted. I DONT want to get in any kind of trouble as I have made several GREAT new aquaintances if not friends through this site. I posted the story of the theft of my WHOLE COLLECTION on another site because I dont want any problems on this one. I am not looking for pity or handouts of any kind, I only ask that if anyone has any info leading me to the return of my snakes I will be SINCERELY grateful. There are those who will frequent this site and I want them to KNOW that the animals they "got a great deal on" may have come at my expense. These people do exist here, scam artists that can ruin anyone's day.If we cant come together as a community to deal with them what is the sense in having a forum anyway? I ask that the administrator read my post on "the other site" and email me to let me know if I can post it here to educate the importance and vulerability of what we think is a "safe"community. Thanks in advance for any and all responses,Jeff

I tried to respond to your email but it wouldn't go through. Can you be more specific than bleep? What the heck does bleep mean? Is it a porn site?

You're not allowed to post certain other websites on Kingsnake. The names of these sites are censored out. These tend to be 'competing' herp sites, not porn sites. I'm not sure of a good way to g e t a r o u n d t h a t. I unfortunately don't know which website he's referring to either.

Well someone sent me an email with the words [ b l e e p ] and that was it. This is more confusing than all of 'jeffbiologist's previous posts combined.

I just found 'the other' forum he was referring to.

JEFF, you wrote:

THERE'S AN EASY SOLUTION:
YOU CAN ask your forum friends here to help watch out for your missing snakes. It would be fine to say, "hey, the following snakes were stolen from me, if you see them offered or run across them at a show, please give me a call or drop me a line" or something like that. No accusations, no naming of the alleged "perps," just "help me keep an eye out for my lost snakes" kind of thing.

You don't get in trouble with kingsnake's management for such a post, but you reach teh people you want on this forum, with your main objective: locating your snakes. People can name anyone they want, when they email you with information, and you can explore in much greater detail all the facts with them, in emails. All the forum rules would prohibit are accusing people, that sort of thing. That's not your point, not your objective, from what you've said here, but finding your animals is. And that's perfectly within the rules. On other forums, you can say what's allowed with their rules. No need to name them here, or to name this forum there. That all seems reasonable to me. imho.

I hope that helps.

Terry
