SKEGNESS STANDARD (UK) 02 January 08 Tortoise worth £1,000 stolen from pet shop
A tortoise valued at around £1,000 was stolen from the Animal World pet store, in Roman Bank, Skegness, between 8.30am-5.30pm last Saturday.
The Horsfield tortoise, named Benny, was in a display when it was taken. Benny is six years old and is described as seven inches long and four inches wide, with a distinctive growth skirt around his back end and a distinctive bottom jaw.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who may have information about the the theft or may know the whereabouts of the stolen tortoise.

Talk about inflated pet shop prices!! Methinks someone has inflated ideas about claiming on insurance.
