Shipping for $10????

Rob Jenkins Aug 25, 2003 10:55 PM

I'm not considering buying it, but how can you ship for $10? The only way I know of to get something overnighted for anywhere near that would be an Express Mail envelope

I'm thinking it is a typo.

they might have a deal set up with the shipping company..but they would have to be national or at least put out a certain # of items a week to get overnight express shipping for a pkg under a pound for 10 dollars...i mean corps like timberline crickets or major corps like Aol get deals like that.. not a basement business.. i sure hope she is paying for part of the shipping and not sending the gecko ground...when i worked for airborne a reg package overnight express ran about 32 dollars and that was a year ago or so... i assume with gas prices the way they are and new shipping fees it would run about 35 dollars now..but i could be wrong

I used to be able to ship from our companies dock for less than $9 via fedex. Since 9/11 they got stupid parinoid and won't let us do that any longer.

On the person above that is only charging customers $10 for shipping: Why not ask what their policy is instead of guessing or making it look like it is wrong.

As long as the shipping is overnight, who give a rip how much is charged. I actually have a deal posted where shipping is INCLUDED in the price of the animals for sale. Is that wrong?

I said it could've been a typo. I was curious if someone knows a way to do it cheaper, but still make it there overnight. I think it's awesome you have a deal for free shipping; I'm sure I'll do that at some time as well.

However, there'd have to be a significant purchase price for me to foot the $35-40 UPS it takes me to ship a gecko out. This ad says to 'make an offer'. I'm sure there's a logical explanation and I've emailed her to find out so we can stop speculating.

Thanks
