What temp is too cold for Delta Dash?

morphmagician Jan 06, 2008 11:01 AM

I am getting some snakes shipped across the country and it's going to be in the 40's and 50's here. Is that too cold? I am just trying to get a feel on what the shippers feel are safe temps to ship BPs. Also, does anyone know what temps the snakes are kept at on the plane?

Delta does not allow shipment of animals when temps are below 40 or above 90. As far as I know, all animals are kept in a pressurized, heated cargo cabin. I'm sure there are points where the boxes will contact extreme temps during loading and unloading. Personally, I don't like using them, but some swear by it. I've had nothing but trouble.

Good luck.
