07 Black Pine

Steve_Craig Jan 06, 2008 11:09 AM

Here's a couple of pics of my 07 female. My first and only pit so far, and I have to say I'm impressed. This girl is an absolute joy to handle. It's also a refreshing change to have a snake with keeled scales. A totally different look & feel about them as opposed to kings & corns. Steve

Very nice, Steve.

Keep the pics coming as she grows.

They're definitely on my 'to get' list!

Very nice Black Pine here is hopping that she turns jet black for you .Some do some don't that is manly because of some breeders years ago breeding the black into the northern to get bigger clutches .northerns can have up to 20 eggs and a big clutch for a black is 8 to 9 eggs .please post pic's as she grows

Thanks for the nice words. Both parents of my female are pretty solid black. If mine turns out anything like the parents, I'll be a happy camper.

I think it depends on the bloodlines/parents. I believe even a solid black pine will retain a hint of pattern along the tail section, but I'm not positive on that.

Good looking Pine. I don't keep any yet, but I have to say of all the Pines, the Blacks are definitely the ones I'm leaning towards getting.
