just replying to ur message. actually i am 17 and how i am "coming off on ppl" i tell them what i think they should hear. i was like them too. when i first started out. then jeff houston and Infamous Poot gave me the slap and turned me around. and now consider myself a VERY successful tegu owner. im ending it here. im not gonna make this like the monitor forum...

Well your age expalins alot.
The thing is Matt, if you constantly attack people for making mistakes they will not feel comfortable posting questions at all and somthing serious might occur as a result.
These forums are not only for people who are avid collectors but they are also for newcomers who do not know much about certain herps and people with problems that need feedback.
I think most of us came here for that reason in fact. While some people seem to do it all correct on the onset, others might make a few mistakes, but that is how we learn to be better people all around.
Attacking is silly, and a waste of time. Belittling someone just shows a person's inferiority if that is the only way you can get a point across.
Try to take it easy on people. I have watched you attack 3 or 4 people already, and those people (with the exception of one) have not posted anymore.
If you can help and get your concern accross in a diplomatic way without making people feel stupid for asking, then post away. Doing things in this way will keep an atmosphere where people feel free to ask questions, post problems and find solutions.
That's all I'm saying.

some backround on why im like this... i work at "vetPets" Vet clinic/ Pet Store, and too often do i see ppl bring in lizards that are extremely emaciated, dehydrated, full of mites, MBD and such. iv seen close to 100 iguanas in ONLY 7 MONTHS. after awhile it takes affect. i just get tired of people buying lizards with no regards of what they need. just doing what they want with it, and not caring about how the animal is doing. then when its about to die come and drop it off where i work. to me its VERY simple. if you dont know how to care for the animal dont want to. then dont get it. i am NOT saying this is how ANYONE is in the forums. but when someone gets a tegu and says "i just got a tegu what do i need for it?" even if within 3 days they get what they "need" the stress level on that animal could be so much it wont eat,will die. its simple read and get what the animal needs before you get it. if you see what i do on a DAILY basis. you would understand why i get mad when ppl get something and dont know what it needs. if you want we can talk about this over email ( mattcwi@yahoo.com ) but im not going to say anything more about this on these forums.
