1st, hope u guys had a happy xmas and new year,
i found what looks like shed plugs in my females water before xmas, i probed and got 4 scales both sides and today a friend probed and got 4 scales too???? she eats like a female and is bigger than males her age, im confused!!
my friend is letting me borrow a male for a week or 2 hopefully it my answer my question

That looks like a standard plug to me, I've seen many over the years, have a pic of one somewhere......
