My mali definitely eats seeds. Go with a seed mix for finches and smaller type birds that has a lot of millet. Avoid sunflower seeds as they may choke the lizard. If your seed mix has sunflowers, sift them out. Some keepers even recommend using the seed mix as the cage substrate so its readily available. I keep my seed mix in a small crock bowl for my uro to nibble on and replace/refresh as needed.
My guys will not eat the seeds if offered in a seperate bowl. He'll eat them with relish if sprinkled over his salad though...
Any pet store should have parakeet or finch seed blends. Those should be appropriate, but as mentioned remove any sunflower seeds.
I sprinkle a bit of finch seed over the salad a few times a week, but our big male won't eat it if it's in a separate bowl. Freeze it to kill any mites that may be in the seed, I just keep my bag in the freezer along with frozen shredded squash and frozen lima beans, and rotate those as some of the treats every few days.
