naturalistic terrariums

I'm looking to get my first ball python and would like to house it in a naturalistic terrarium. I've heard lots of people say snakes are boring, but they'd be boring too if they were in a bare glass tank. I'm interested in observing their natural behaviors, so any advice would be appreciated.
